Somaliland’s Acting Minister of Information, Culture, and National Guidance, Muse Askar Guleed, met on Monday 16 March 2026, with Abdul Rafay Afzal, Editor-in-Chief of The Advocate Post, at the ministry headquarters in Hargeisa.
The meeting centered on strengthening strategic media partnerships and advancing the development of Somaliland’s media landscape. Discussions highlighted the critical role of international media collaboration in promoting accurate news dissemination and cultivating a positive global image for the country’s press.
Both parties emphasized that closer media cooperation would enhance professionalism, foster greater understanding of diverse cultures, and contribute to sustainable development. They reaffirmed their strong commitment to deepening media alliances and expanding international communication links.
