The Somaliland government is actively pursuing international recognition and remains open to acceptance from any nation, irrespective of its race, religion, or cultural background, according to the Minister of the Presidency.

In a recent statement, Honorable Khadar Hussein Abdi, Minister of the Presidency of the Republic of Somaliland, emphasized the administration’s ongoing efforts to gain formal recognition on the global stage.

“The government is exerting significant efforts to secure recognition from countries around the world,” Minister Khadar said. “We warmly welcome any nation that chooses to recognize Somaliland, no matter its color, religion, or culture.”

He further clarified that Somaliland is not pursuing recognition from specific countries alone. “We are not targeting particular nations for recognition,” he stated. “Any country that recognizes Somaliland—regardless of its race, religion, or cultural identity—we fully accept and appreciate the recognition they extend to us.”

Minister Khadar’s remarks underscore Somaliland’s commitment to building broader international partnerships as it advances its quest for global legitimacy.
