In a promising move for regional collaboration, Waddani Chairman Hon. Hersi Ali H. Hassan of Somaliland held a significant private dinner with Kenya’s Vice President, Prof. Kithure Kindiki, last night.
This encounter follows Chairman Hersi’s visit to Kenya, where he met various stakeholders and shared UDP events with President Ruto, as well as Somaliland’s establishment of a representative office in Nairobi in May 2025, highlighting an emerging partnership centered on trade and security.
Building on previous discussions, the leaders explored fresh opportunities to enhance bilateral ties, with aspirations for greater economic integration, including increased utilization of the bustling Berbera port.
