The State Minister of Finance of the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Ismail Mawlid Abdilahi, officially inaugurated a comprehensive training program aimed at enhancing the skills of the Planning and Statistics Department staff within the Ministry of Finance.
The intensive workshop focuses on key areas such as monitoring, evaluation, strategic plan development, and report preparation. Its primary objective is to bolster the department’s capacity to drive effective strategic planning and ensure the seamless implementation of the Ministry’s initiatives.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, State Minister Abdilahi underscored the pivotal role of the Planning Department in the Ministry’s operations. “The Planning Department is the backbone of the Ministry of Finance. Well-crafted plans lead to efficient operations. This training will equip you to monitor and report effectively, ensuring sustainable and impactful outcomes,” he stated, urging participants to fully engage with the program.
The training is expected to significantly improve staff performance and align the Ministry’s planning processes with its broader vision and strategic goals. This initiative reflects Somaliland’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and fostering sustainable development within its public sector.
At the end of the training, participants are expected to apply their enhanced skills to improve operational efficiency and contribute to the Ministry’s long-term objectives.
