The Minister of Investment and Industrial Development Hon. Saeed Mohamed Buraale, has opened a new office for the Ministry in Sahil region, Berbera.
The ceremony to unveil the new office was attended by top officials of the ministry, the coordinator of the ministry in Sahil region, the deputy governor of Sahil region, Mr. Mahmoud Hindi Adan, and other distinguished guests.
Mr. Mahmoud Hindi lauded the opening of the regional office saying that it was long overdue especially given the fact that Berbera is a main hub of investments opportunities.
On his part the minister Hon. Buraale said that the facility will serve the wider Somaliland community. He added that the policy of the President of the Republic of Somaliland, H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, is to decentralize government branches operating in the regions of the country. He noted that a similar new office has been established in Togdeer region for the Ministry of Investment and Industrial Development to have in that region.
In conclusion, he said that the authorities of the Ministry are planning to have new offices for the Ministry in the cities of Awdal and Sanaag regions, where the ministry currently does not have any main offices.
