The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health Development of the Republic of Somaliland Hon. Samsam Mohamed Saleh, chaired a conference to review the country’s medicinal drugs policy, which is important for the health of the country.
The conference reviewed the Somaliland medicine policy, its regulations, and the licensing system for wholesale medicine companies.
The conference, which was attended by members of the directors of various departments in the Ministry of Health Development, and the Ministry’s advisors, discussed in depth the development of regulatory procedures, ensuring the safety and quality of medicines, and finding solutions to existing challenges in the field of medicines.
The conference also gave special importance to the completion of the Somaliland Medicines Act in order to have a comprehensive law that guides the trade and import of medicines into our country.
