The President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro had a large meeting with international development agencies composed of donors from the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), the United Nations (UN) and representatives or executives from their agencies.
The President thanked the delegation for the continued support of the said institutions to the country hence highlighted the importance of the continued partnership in advancing the development agenda of the Republic of Somaliland.
The President was flanked at the meeting by several cabinet ministers and senior state officials.
The meeting focused on harmonizing important and crucial initiatives to boost the economy, social development, and the goal of sustainable development which reinforces the commitment of the country to international cooperation.
The discussions were indicative of the fact that the International Community greatly recognizes the security, stability and democratic process in the Republic of Somaliland, hence the need to further strengthen the relationship between the nation of Somaliland and the International Community.
The Head of State presented on the occasion gifts to individual representatives of the delegates as a symbol of the cooperation and collaboration between the Republic of Somaliland and the International Community.
