President meets RGs, imparts upon them need of gaining public trust

The President H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, held over the week a significant meeting with the regional governors (RGs) of the country imparting upon them the need of public trust and endearing the populaces to their government for progress to be achieved.

This meeting served as a consultative forum focused on reinforcing governance systems, enhancing peace and security, improving public service delivery, and addressing national priorities through unity and brotherhood among the people.

Key issues pondered on included: –

  1. Security and Stability of the Nation’s Regions
  2. Economic Development and Investment in the Regions
  3. Strengthening Economic Infrastructure and Social Services in the Regions
  4. Preparedness for Disasters and Drought Relief
  5. Good Governance, Transparency, and Collaboration with Diverse Community Groups

President Irro emphasized that the unity of the Somaliland people, the consolidation of peace, and stability remain the top priorities of the “Unity and Action Government.”

He stressed that the governors, as his representatives, must ensure their communities recognize this government as their own.

The President further urged the regional governors to execute their duties diligently and without delay, aligning their efforts with the developmental goals set by the Somaliland government. He highlighted the importance of public trust and cooperation in achieving sustainable progress.
