The Ethiopian government has extended its congratulations to Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi-Irro on his election as President of Somaliland.
A statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed the congratulations on behalf of the Ethiopian government and people, following Abdirahman Irro’s victory in the Somaliland presidential election.
The Ministry also expressed Ethiopia’s appreciation for the exemplary democratic conduct demonstrated by both the elected President and the outgoing President, Muse Bihi Abdi.
Finally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its best wishes for a successful term for the incoming Somaliland administration.
