On its Wednesday campaigning day, the UCID political party (Justice and Welfare) resorted to distributing alms in the form of livestock to the hospitals and prisons in Awdal and Erigavo regions.
The Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Welfare Party who is also the candidate for the vice presidency seat Eng Abdirashid Duale Diriye and the officials of Awdal region distributed the livestock, that included sheep and cattle, to the general hospital in Borama, specifically to the TB and psychiatry patients. They also delivered livestock to the Central Prison in the town.
On the other hand, the Deputy Chairman of the UCID party, MP Omar Jama Farah, handed over similar aid to Erigavo Central Prison, the TB and psychiatric hospitals in the town.
This is the first time that the party changed its campaigning tact and resort to alms distribution in the two regions.
