President meets with the women fraternity of Togdeer Region

The President of the Republic of Somaliland H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi held a special meeting with a cross-section of the women fraternity in Burao and hailed them as being the main back-bone of the society in various fields.

The President listened attentively to the women’s opinions and appreciated their views on the country’s situation.

He specifically described the women fraternity as the backbone of the society, and as an example pointed out that they made the main bulk of voters when it came to elections.

He noted that women in the nation took their roles in paying attention to national affairs and issues admirably.

The President has been in the eastern parts of the country for the past week and is expected to continue his meet the people tour for the next several days.

Members of the presidential delegation at the meeting including the presidential envoy to IGAD, Mr. Abdilahi Mohamed Duale, the former mayors of Burao and Hargeisa Mr. Mohamed Murad and Abdirahman Mohamud Aydeed Soltelco, the minister of commerce who is the candidate for the vice president of KULMIYE Hon. Mohamud Hassan Saad Saajin and the Minister of Animal Husbandry, Hon. Saeed Sulub, were amongst the speakers at the venue who expressed their gratitude to the women of Burao, attributing much success of the party to them.
