The government of Somaliland has taken steps to improve the service delivery of the port of Berbera. Various meetings were with the stakeholders at the port, such as the officials of the DP World Company, the Berbera customs authority and inland tax officials, the clearing and forwarders association SOFA, regional administration where by the they resolved to step up smooth services delivery in the import, export and customer care.
The applicable suggestions, advises and associated resolutions adapted at the meeting were pledged to be adhered to.
The meeting was chaired by the finance minister Hon. Saad Ali Shire who was flanked by the director general of the ministry Mr. Mohamed Hussein Osman.
