The Ministry of Agricultural Development of Somaliland has warned all the people living in some cities of Somaliland to be wary of heavy and torrential rains expected to fall in the country, as per assured weather forecasts reports.
In a statement issued by the ministry, it specifically warned the cities of Hargeisa, Sheikh, Sallahley and Eerigabo to show extra attention due to heavy rains that are coming to these cities this week.
Weather forecasters have said in recent days that stormy rains will fall in many areas of the Horn of Africa, with strong floods that could cause displacement.
The past month or so has seen many countries cautioning their populaces of possibility of the heavy torrential El Nino rains that usually cause havoc every decade or so.
