The Chairman of state owned newspapers Dawan and Horn Tribune Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Jama Ismael has led a delegation of legislators to London for celebrations of Somaliland independence day on 18th May. The delegates were received at Heathrow Airport by Somaliland ambassador to London Hon. Abdi Abdillahi, Somaliland community in the UK and some representatives of the three national political parties.
The MPs in the entourage are Hon. Ahmed Dayib Adam, Hon. Jama Adam Dirie and Hon. Fuad Ahmed Dirie.
Speaking to Somaliland media at the airport Hon. Ahmed Dayib thanked Somaliland community in the UK for their warm welcome.
The legislators emphasised on the importance of statehood. They concurred that in the future they will like to use the Somaliland passport to travel anywhere in the world.

He said “We have come here to celebrate with you on this auspicious occasion of Somaliland independence day on 18th May. As we can all gauge, this year celebrations has been highly publicised and is expected to attract many Somaliland in nationals in around the globe.”
