The initiative of the Mayor of the capital city of Hargeisa Cllr. Abdikarim Ahmed Mooge and the efforts exerted by the town hall are unprecedented as far as infrastructure is concerned.
Their palpable services are felt and are largescale beyond the historic road works.
The local council of Hargeisa has made gigantic leaps in paving roads, creating others and streamlining commuter services.
So far they have just completed by last week a whooping 21 roads in just a year and a half.
One elderly resident in Hargeisa said, “It took me a long time to believe that there was so much money in the city that catered for all these achievements, but now I have witnessed with my own eyes what is going on.”
This old man’s observation which echoes those of the city residents testates to the round-the-clock tireless efforts propelled under the mayor’s watch unseen hence similarly attests to the city council’s commitments to making Hargeisa a great city.
