THT- The President H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi and a large delegation he led were received by a multitude of enthusiastic people who were waving leaves and flags of Somaliland, amid deafening ululations, warmly welcoming him to the city of Berbera.
Similar scenarios were witnessed all along the Hargeisa –Berbera highway whereby all residents of the various trading centres ushered him through in the same fashion.
The large delegation led by the President, is on a business trip to the eastern regions of the country.
The different cadres of the residents in Berbera, led by the regional were at the forefront of the reception in welcoming the president with thunderous applause and traditional ululations.
They waved leaves and the flag of the Republic of Somaliland with the
choruses from the crowds becoming more deafening as the Head of State
walked for a distance along with the people with the reception masses.
On the other hand, the groups of people in the crowds noted that they came out of love and honour for their President to welcome him.
A mother expressing her jovial feelings said, “We are standing here to welcome the President of Somaliland H.E. Muse Bihi Abdi in Sahel region. We say welcome President, our emotions cannot be measured”.
Several others expressed similar feelings. They all exuded excitement, joy and happiness in their faces.
