THT- The chairman of Somaliland Red Crescent Society Mr. Ahmed Abdi Bakaal received a delegation of donor countries representatives who are in the country to assess the drought affected regions.
The delegates comprised of Red Crescent Societies from Britain, Sweden, Finland, United States and IFRS organization.
Somaliland Red Crescent Society chairman led the delegates on a tour of drought affected Eastern and Western regions of the country.
delegation is expected after the assessment inspection, to forward their report at a donors conference in Nairobi, Kenya.
In another development a two-day meeting held on Thursday at Mansoor Hotel Hargeisa, organized by Somaliland Red Crescent Society, was attended by delegates from14 countries. They discussed the programs implemented by Somaliland Red Crescent Society and their plans for the next year.
This meeting has been held in Somaliland for the second consecutive year, before then it used to be organized in countries with close proximity with Somaliland.
