THT: The thirty days of Fasting during the Holy Month of Ramadan shall commence on Sunday the 3rd April 2020 in Somaliland
This was stated by the Minister of Religious affairs Sheikh Abdirizak Hussein Ali ‘Albani)’ as he revealed that the month of Shabaan will be completed onSaturday.
Speaking to the media , Sheikh Albani said that since the moon signaling Ramadan commencement has not been sighted in Somaliland and neighbouring countries thence Fastingn shall official commence on Sunday.
The announcement by the minister curtailed all preparations for Fasting on Friday night including Tarawih prayers and relevant meals.
Fasting is among the five Pillars of Islam in which all able bodied adherents are obligated to fast from dusk to dawn for thirty days.
