THT-Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation Hon. Dr Essa Keyd who praised the manner in which he was received, said he was thrilled to visit Djibouti, where he had grown up, and considered it his second home.
Dr. Essa, welcomed the long-standing relationship between Djibouti and Somaliland, adding that although the two countries were working closely together. “But now more than ever we must stand up together brothers and sisters to make our region more stable and peaceful.
In a message posted on his Twitter account, Minister Dr. Essa said,
“I was really pleased to be in touch with the Djiboutian Minister of Defence, Hon. Hassan Omar Mohamud who has been a pillar since my childhood. It is a testament to the relationship between Somalilanders and Djiboutians. ” He said in his message.
The delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs on a working visit to Djibouti is expected to meet with the President of Djibouti Mr. Ismail in the coming days.
