THT-Immigration officials at Hargeisa Egal International Airport have today arrested a foreigner for smuggling Agama Gama lizards & Geckos for illegally exporting abroad.
The foreigner, originally from Egypt, was arrested by security forces and will be charged in court.
This is not the first time that the security forces have arrested people who were illegally exporting Agama Gama & Geckos outside the country at Hargeisa Egal airport, as 10 March 2020.
Somaliland has a law banning the export of wild life and reptiles according to an Act of the Ministry of Environment, wild life department.
