Sixth country appoints his diplomatic mission head in the Republic of Somaliland

Ababu Namwamba, CAS at The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kenya has delivered a lecture on “Parliamentary Diplomacy” (Parlomacy) as a Tool for International Relations” at the Foreign Service Academy induction for EALA MPs, the new EAC Sec General and the Consul-General of Kenya’s new Consulate in Hargeisa, Somaliland

According to a message posted on official Twitter account of the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday, CAS Hon Namwamba delivered a speech on parliamentary diplomacy.

“CAS Hon Namwamba delivered a lecture on “Parliamentary Diplomacy” (Parlomacy) as a Tool for International Relations” at the Foreign Service Academy  induction for EALA MPs, to the new EAC Sec General and the Consul-General of Kenya’s new Consulate in Hargeisa, Somaliland.

CAS Hon Namwamba, highlighted history, forms, challenges and value of Parlomacy in the complex modern day Intl relations; and the unique role of FSA in preparing diplomats and urged EALA/EAC to use the academy to grow their diplomatic skills and output as they promote regional integration

The appointment of Kenya’s new Consular General makes it the sixth country in the world to open a new diplomatic mission in the Rep of Somaliland capital city Hargeisa, as previously Ethiopia, Djibouti, Turkey, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates opened their diplomatic mission, while the United Kingdom has office in Hargeisa in charge of cooperation of two countries.
