THT-The President of the Republic of Somaliland, HE Muse Bihi Abdi, has sent a message of peace to the warring clans in the Dhabar-dalol well in Hudun District, northeast of the Sool region.
He added, “it’s not good to shed the blood of Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan which is a month of worship. I call on those who incite violence to desist and spare their innocent people and their future.
“I call on the intellectuals, elders, religious and local leaders on both sides of the conflict to bring stability to the situation and work together to end the damage caused by the inter-clan fighting that recently reached an agreement in the area. Adhi-cadeye community and members of the cabinet sat for months to reach an agreement, but unfortunately the two communities fought back over a well yesterday.
In any case, the death of a son does not result in the birth of a son. The President strongly condemns the recurrence of civil strife in the Sool region.
The president has ordered the national army, the regional administration, and all government agencies to take action against the recurring violence and to take appropriate action against anyone who does not abide by peace and prosperity.
The President also called on the people of the Republic of Somaliland, who love peace and prosperity, to help end the conflict and stop further bloodshed.
Finally, the President sends his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the fighting and prays to God to heal the wounded.
