December 22 -The Newly appointed Presidential committee on travel between Somaliland and Somalia today met at the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Air Transport.
Hon Osman Abdillahi Sahardid “Adani”, the Minister of Civil Aviation and Air Transport speaking to reporter’s moments after emerging from the closed door meeting stated as :-
During today’s meeting we discussed ways in which we can facilitate travel between the two countries be it trade, or the travel of the people, security of which we managed to reach a conclusion on the matter and we shall submit our report to H. E. President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Silanyo.
I would, also like to thank the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Saad Ali Shire who chaired today’s meeting and as you’re well aware of and due to the many obstacles which face both the brotherly peoples of the two countries due to the travel difficulties, so the purpose of today’s meeting was to come up with suitable solutions to solve the existing problems and also pave way for laying the foundations of friendly relations between the two distinct nations.
Apart from Me(Minister of Civil Aviation and Air Transport), also present during the meeting were , Hon Saad Ali Shire , The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations , Hon Ali Mohamed Waran Cade, The Minister of Interior in Charge of Internal Security, Hon Ali Said Raygal , The Minister of Resettlement and Absent were Hon Zam Zam Ali Aden , The Minister of Finance and Hon Sulemain Essa Ahmed “Haglatosiye” who couldn’t be here today because they were away attending to other official duties .
