Hargeisa (THT) The President H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud Silanyo has described the late Elder statesman and senior Guurti member Abdillahi Ibraahim Hirsi Dugad as a prominent personality whose eminence was associated with the country’s recent history.
The Head of State described the deceased as an elder who worked towards both the pacification and development of the communities in the country.
The long time Guurti member on his demise is survived by 89 off-springs to whom he was father and grandfather.
The President who led Somalilanders as the late Senator’s body was accorded a state burial, sent his heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, colleagues and friends of the late leader and also to Somalilanders at large as a nation wishing them faith, strength and fortitude in the sorrowful time and prayed to God to have mercy on the departed leader’s soul..
The late senator died at the beginning of the week and buried at Hargeisa.
