VP Sayli’i urges Awdalites to safeguard peace

Hargeisa (THT) Vice President Abdurrahman Abdullah Ismael Sayli’i currently visiting the region of Awdal has urged residents of Borame to safeguard peace and security during Friday prayers at the ABUHURAYRA mosque.

The Vice President embarked on the tour western region since Thursday and has meet with traditional leaders in a closed door meeting meant to discuss and find a solution to the political crisis propped up in Awdal by the renegade Sultan Wabar who has since declared war on Somaliland.

Addressing worshipers after Friday prayers at the Abu Hurayra Mosque, Vice President Sayli’i said, “I glad to be here today among you who are gathered here for Friday prayers and I am also happy to see the youth being the majority of worshipers which is a good sight to see , as you are well the Koran scriptures  tell us to refrain from evil and other forms of vice , I would like to use this opportunity to once again urge you to take part in safeguard our hard-earned peace and to work together in realizing this , peace is the key to life, development and without peace we won’t be gathered here today that’s why I must urge you all to shun all things which may threaten the peace and security of our society and the nation at large.

Also present during the Fridays prayers were the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Minister of Defense, Minister of Civil Aviation and Air Transport, Minister of Coordination of Assemblies, Minister of Agriculture, Assistant Minister of National Planning, Governor of Awdal region and the Mayor of Borame.
