Mr. Saleban Said Ali, the Managing Director of Berbera fuel storage facility assured citizens that the price of fuel return to normal revealed this while speaking to the  media regarding the ever increasing fuel prices.

The MD of Berbera storage facility speaking to the press in Hargeisathis week said, “I hope the price of petroleum products to return to normalize after a recent hike and that the ministry of Commerce will soon establish guidelines that control the quality of petroleum products been imported into the country.

The Managing Director added, “The current government has initiated expansion and modernization work at the eBerbera fuel storage facility and the current capacity has being increased by 10,000 cubic meters, this part of the first phase which has already being completed which will ensure a steady supply of the cheap petroleum based products are available to all Somalilanders everywhere in the country and time.

“We are also constructing new office blocks to be used by the depot staff while at the same time doing repairs and upgrading the existing fuel storage tanks, construction of new roads and training emergency and security staff just to mention a few”, the MD stated.

The ever skyrocketing price of petroleum has prompted many motorists to abandon their personal vehicles switch to public transportation after failing to cope with the high and unstable fuel prices but many are left to wonder what the current government is doing to regulate the prices this especially after the Ministry of commerce and international investment denied knowledge of any recent hike in fuel price.
