The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, held significant meeting on the second day of his working trip to the United Arab Emirates, with His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and the Emir of Dubai.
The President also met with His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.
He thanked the government of the United Arab Emirates for the official invitation and the esteemed high honor extended to him in order to participate in the International Conference of the Summit of the World Governments (WGS 2025).
According to press release on Wednesday by the Presidential Spokesman Hussein Adam Ige, the President discussed with the leaders of the UAE a number of crucial and priority issues for the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, which include cooperation in economic affairs, investments and bilateral cooperation in the region.
Similarly, the President discussed with the United Arab Emirates the support of Somaliland in terms of infrastructure and the two sides to cooperate on security issues, especially the stability of the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea waterways.
