Police chief calls for the safeguarding and maintaining of peaceful stability

The National Police Service chief Major General Mohamed Adan Saqadi, urged all the members of the public to make sure that they uphold and safeguard the peaceful stability and security during the political campaigns and elections around the corner.

He minced no words as he stressed the importance of peace and security in the country and the need for everyone to conduct themselves responsibly.

The commander also encouraged the members of the public to be aware of things that could disrupt security and stability during the election campaign.

The Major General who held a press conference in his office called on the political parties and organizations to educate their supporters on the imperativeness of security by following the laws and ethics of the elections.

“In order for us to achieve the triumphant holding of peaceful and incident-free elections, all of us should work together in concerted efforts to see to it that it is achieved”, he said.

The appeal encompasses the populaces, political parties and organizations, politicians and all the arms of the security services.

Major General Mohamed ordered all the troops to be even more diligent in their duties of seeing to it that peaceful stability is maintained.
