The government has stated that the Berbera Port work is currently at its peak and quite busy.
Vice President H.E. Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismael also noted that the livestock exports have increased by 10% compared to last year.
The VP made the statements shortly after he visited the docks at the Berbera port.
He said in a message on his Twitter account, “I visited Berbera port which is managed by DP World. I had a meeting with the senior management and the chairman of the port authority”.
He continued, “I have been informed that the export of livestock has increased by 10% compared to last year, and the port is now fully operational and at its peak.
While on the way, the VP also inspected and took stoke of the situation of the damages done by flash floods to a bridge along the Berbera-Hargeisa highway.
