The Speaker of the national Assembly and leader of the opposition WADDANI party Hon Abdurrahman Mohamed Abdullah “Irro” currently on working tour of Scandinavian countries on Friday meet with Hon Tobias Billstrom, the first deputy speaker of the Swedish parliament in Stockholm, Sweden.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed ways on fostering strong bonds between the nations, enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, good governance, democratization process, upcoming elections and how Sweden may be able to support the people of Somaliland with their quest for both internal construction and international recognition.
On the other hand, in a similar meeting SL Speaker Hon Abdurrahman Mohamed Abdullah “Irro” meet with Mrs. Karin Wanngard, the Mayor of Stockholm and other officials.
Among the issues discussed at the meeting aimed at reinforcing the cooperation between the two cities and exchanging expertise in civic works and ways of sharing best practices between the councils of the two growing cities.
Lastly, the officials such cooperation will add a great value to enhancing existing relations between the two countries.
